About the Role

Our client, a leading international bank with a strong presence in the UAE, is seeking a highly driven and experienced

Head of Liabilities having UAE Nationality

to lead and grow the bank's liabilities portfolio. The role is pivotal in driving CASA (Current Account, Savings Account) and deposit growth, while ensuring exceptional relationship management and strategic leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the overall liabilities strategy for the bank, focusing on CASA growth and deposit mobilization. Build, manage, and mentor a team of Relationship Managers to achieve liability acquisition and retention targets. Develop and execute innovative business strategies to attract new clients and deepen existing relationships. Ensure strong governance, compliance, and risk management across all liability products and client portfolios. Collaborate with product, marketing, and digital teams to enhance product offerings and customer experience. Drive market analysis and competitor benchmarking to identify new business opportunities. Report directly to senior management, providing insights and updates on liabilities performance and market trends.

Key Requirements

UAE National with Family Book. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (Master's preferred). 10+ years of progressive banking experience, with at least 5 years in liabilities/wealth management leadership roles. Strong track record of driving CASA and deposit growth. Proven people leadership, team management, and business development skills. Deep understanding of the UAE banking landscape, regulations, and customer needs. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
