Head of Key Account Management, Emerging Gulf

ROLE SUMMARY

This role plays a crucial role in developing and executing our key account management strategy in the Emerging Gulf countries (Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar) while establishing and maintaining strong relationships with our key accounts to drive revenue growth and maximize customer satisfaction. Will lead a team of Key Account Managers/Associates and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, market access, and supply chain, to ensure the achievement of business objectives.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive key account management strategy aligned with the company\'s overall business objectives.

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Key Account Managers/Associates, providing guidance and support to optimize their performance and development

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner for key stakeholders.

  • Identify growth opportunities within key accounts and develop strategic account plans to maximize revenue, profitability, and market share.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments such as Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless execution of account plans.

  • Collaborate with the Sales team to develop pricing strategies and negotiate contracts with key accounts to ensure profitable business relationships.

  • Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and address customer needs to enhance customer satisfaction and retention

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to proactively identify opportunities and risks, and adjust strategies accordingly.

  • Translate sales data, market research, and customer feedback into insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Provide regular business updates and reports to senior management evaluating key account performance along with actionable insights

  • Stay updated on industry regulations, compliance requirements, and ethical guidelines to ensure adherence within key account management activities

Essential for the role

  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field

  • Proven experience in key account management, sales, or business development roles within the pharmaceutical industry

  • Previous experience in the Emerging Gulf countries

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic account plans, resulting in revenue growth and increased market share

  • Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, market dynamics, and regulatory environment

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with key stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve targets and exceed customer expectations

  • Strong negotiation, influential, and problem-solving skills to overcome challenges and drive mutually beneficial outcomes
