A family office with a portfolio of interesting businesses across the UAE are looking to recruit a Head of Internal Audit. This internal auditor role would suit a professionally qualified accountant who is currently working for a Big 4 accountancy firm as an internal or external auditor or for an international finance or commercial business in the Middle East region. Our client is seeking applicants with a minimum of 10 years of internal and/or external auditing ideally having worked and been trained by a Big 4 accounting practice in UAE or Europe.
The role requires developing an internal audit framework in line with IIA standards. Have proven experience in developing a quality assurance and improvement programme for the audit department and make strategic recommendations regarding ways to improve internal audit and quality assurance services further. To be eligible for this role you must be a qualified accountant FCA/FCCA/CPA or similar, with 15 years plus experience of working as an accountant.
