Role Summary:
This role will have responsibility for driving Save the Children’s philanthropy in the Gulf markets. The role will
maximise transformational major gift (£1m+) potential from philanthropists, the private sector and foundations,
driving new business and to steward high value relationships. They will proactively drive new business, and engage
with our most valued supporters, securing support and building sustainable relationships of value; sourcing
significant income for Save the Children’s key priorities, ultimately transforming the lives of millions of children
worldwide.
Key Accountabilities:
  • To be integral to the delivery of our strategy to build long lasting, highly engaged relationships with
philanthropists leading, cultivating & stewarding, with on focus on 7 figure gifts & relationships

  • A remit to proactively prospect, generating new links through peer to peer approaches & actively networking
to generate a pipeline to a minimum of £10m annually
  • Steward transformational partners with excellence, understanding motivations, trends & delivering a
bespoke journey to ensure continuity of their engagement with Save the Children
  • Work collaboratively and effectively within the organisation, developing positive, solution focussed
relationships, taking an agile approach, working with other departments and team when required
  • Work with the CEO’s office, External Advisory Council, trustees, and senior volunteers, to seek new
opportunities and to help enhance or recognise our donor relationships
  • Proactively focus on external engagement, displaying excellent behaviours to drive engagement to achieve
an annual income target - working to a collective team target - raising significant funds for children
  • Support income and pipeline processes and data management as required

The Skills I Need to Succeed in This Role:
Technical
  • Extensive experience of working within major donor fundraising, preferably within an international context
  • Experience of developing, networking & enhancing philanthropic relationships, preferably at £1m+ giving
levels
  • Demonstrable experience high level stewardship
  • Ability to collaborate & work across teams on complex programmes and donor relationships, building both
strong internal and external networks
  • Excellent written skills, including development of compelling communications for donors
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and manage a varied and demanding workload to meet deadlines
