Who we are looking for We are looking for a Head of Ground Operations to join our management team in Dubai. The Head of Ground Operations will act as the Nominated Person Ground Operations (NPGO) for our Maldives base. This role has overall responsibility for a safe, efficient ground operation. They provide strategic leadership to the Ground Operations team. The Nominated Person Ground Operation reports directly to the Accountable Manager. The successful candidate will:

- Lead and manage the airline\xe2\x80\x99s ground handling suppliers globally to deliver targeted performance outcomes in all areas of safety, compliance, cost control and operational performance.
- Ensure that ground handling companies and airport operations comply with the required safety standards at all times.
- Manage cost in line with budget and deliver ever lower cost operational solutions and arrangements with the growth of the airline, achieving volume based discounts. Identify all new opportunities for operational improvement and/or cost savings in the nominated area of responsibility.
- Prepare, negotiate and manage standard ground handling agreement (SGHA) templates.
- Manage suppliers including audit planning, reporting and follow-up.
- Conduct station visits and relevant audits/inspections/trainings as well as follow up on outstanding audit findings and other items related to Ground Operations.
- Provide guidance and support to our Ground Operations Team in other locations as required.
- Minimum of 15 years experience, with 5 years at Senior Manager / Team Lead capacity within the aviation industry, preferably in Ground Handling/Ground Operations.
- Experience in managing ground service activities, including management of third party service providers.
- Bachelor\'s Degree in Aviation Management, Airport Operations, or related field preferable.
- Possess extensive knowledge in industry best practice, and technical expertise.
- Proven track record in aircraft ramp services delivery in support of aircraft operations.
- Familiar with Emergency responsible procedures and plans.
- Ability to communicate both written and verbally in English.
- Regulatory and Compliance awareness.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of time in Mal\xc3\xa9, Maldives.
