Has experience providing inspirational leadership in the English department to produce the best possible outcomes for learners
Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience post – qualification
A demonstrable track record of raising student attainment in English and producing outstanding results
Has experience in mentoring and developing staff to improve their teaching practice
Is confident in using a range of data to raise attainment and progress
Has a recognised leadership qualification (NPQML/NPQSL/MA)
Has evidence of ‘Outstanding’ teaching practice,
Is confident in planning engaging, student led lessons
Is an expert in the subject of English and has a passion to inspire a love of learning in students
The ability to use classroom technology to enrich the learning experience of your students
Is willing to make a contribution to the extra curricular life of the school
