About Us: Posh Abaya is a leading affordable luxury brand that specializes in abayas. With five retail stores and a robust online platform, Posh Abaya is dedicated to delivering the best in design, quality, and customer service. Job Overview: We are seeking a highly creative and experienced Head of Design to lead our design department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for forecasting, budgeting, conceptualizing, designing, and bringing to life our collections while understanding the brand ethos and customer needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design team in creating seasonal collections.
- Maintain the company\xe2\x80\x99s design calendar and ensure timelines are met.
- Forecast and budget for upcoming designs
- Conduct market research to identify trends and customer needs.
- Has strong knowledge and decision making in Fabric finalization
- Work closely with the production team to ensure design feasibility.
- Collaborate with marketing for collection launches.
- Implement design software and technologies to enhance design processes.
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fashion design, preferably in abayas or similar.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a high level of creativity and originality.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Must be able to commute to our head office in Ajman
