Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Department for Emergency Medicine to lead a high-performing team within a Tier 1 healthcare facility in Qatar. The ideal candidate will be a fluent Arabic speaker with a proven track record in emergency medicine leadership, clinical excellence, and departmental development. This is a strategic and operational leadership role, responsible for ensuring the delivery of world-class emergency care aligned with international standards and local healthcare priorities.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the Emergency Medicine Department
• Oversee clinical governance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of consultants, specialists, and junior doctors
• Ensure timely, efficient, and evidence-based emergency care delivery
• Collaborate with hospital leadership on resource planning, budgeting, and service expansion
• Drive education, training, and research activities within the department
• Ensure compliance with national regulatory standards and international accreditation requirements
• Act as a key liaison with internal departments, external partners, and regulatory bodies

Qualifications & Experience

• Medical degree with specialization in Emergency Medicine
• Tier 1 Board Certification (e.g., American Board, CCT, FRCP, FRCS, or equivalent)
• Minimum 5+ years of clinical experience, with a senior leadership role
• Fluency in Arabic and English is essential
• Proven experience in managing large emergency departments in high-acuity settings
• Strong background in clinical governance, quality improvement, and team development
• Familiarity with GCC healthcare systems and cultural context is highly desirable
