Responsibilities:

1. Credit Risk Management:

• Develop, implement, and maintain robust credit risk policies, procedures, and methodologies tailored to agri-tech commodities and structured products trading activities.
• Assess counterparty creditworthiness, establish credit limits, and monitor credit exposures to ensure optimal risk-return trade-offs.
• Lead the credit risk assessment process for potential counterparties, clients, and transactions, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative analysis.

2. Risk Function Leadership:

• Oversee the risk management function in DIFC, including credit risk, operational risk, and market risk, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate closely with the APAC office\'s risk team to align risk management strategies and practices, fostering a cohesive risk management approach across locations.

3. Risk Mitigation:

• Identify emerging risks and propose risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the organization\'s financial stability and reputation.
• Implement stress testing, scenario analysis, and other risk assessment techniques to enhance risk management practices.

4. Team Management:

• Lead and mentor a team of risk professionals, fostering their growth, development, and performance.
• Provide guidance and support to team members in analyzing risk data, generating risk reports, and making informed risk-related decisions.

5. Stakeholder Engagement:

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including trading, operations, legal, and compliance teams, to ensure risk management practices are aligned with business objectives.
• Engage with external stakeholders, such as regulators, auditors, and rating agencies, as required.

6. Reporting:

• Prepare regular risk reports for senior management and the board, highlighting key risk metrics, trends, and potential areas of concern.
• Present risk-related findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
