Position Overview
The Head of Concepts at Azizi Developments will lead the concept design team within the Design 360 Studio, overseeing the creative direction and early-stage design of landmark hospitality and residential projects. Based at the Al Hudaiba Awards Office in Dubai, this senior leadership role shapes visionary projects including Monaco Mansions, Azizi Venice, and world-class hotel developments. The position demands extensive UAE and international experience, mastery of design innovation, and the ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams while ensuring technical excellence, compliance, and design integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive concept design development across hospitality, residential, retail, and mixed-use projects, ensuring innovative and commercially viable solutions
• Use AI and automation tools to enhance design production and efficiency
• Lead and mentor architects, CAD/BIM technicians, visualizers, and graphic designers through feasibility to schematic stages, acting as design guardian until TOK preparation
• Deliver feasibility studies, pre-concept, concept, preliminary approval kits, and sales/marketing design packages as per studio benchmarks
• Promote collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and foster a culture of creativity and innovation within the studio
• Ensure project documentation, design reports, and drawings are accurate, traceable, and meet client and authority requirements
• Integrate cost, constructability, maintenance, and sustainability considerations into conceptual design
• Develop strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, contractors, and partners to support project delivery
• Stay updated with advances in architectural practice, codes, and technologies, imparting knowledge to the wider team
• Guide the preparation of authority submissions in compliance with Dubai Municipality, NFPA, IBC, UDC, and other regulatory frameworks
• Lead research and development initiatives to improve studio performance, project delivery, and end-user value

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from a recognized institution
• Minimum 20 years of architectural and design experience, with substantial exposure to the UAE market
• Proven track record of delivering landmark residential, hospitality, and mixed-use projects, including villas, mid-rise, and super high-rise developments
• Strong portfolio showcasing innovative concept design and at least three successfully executed projects
• Exceptional freehand sketching, conceptual thinking, and ability to resolve complex design details
• Deep knowledge of UAE and international building codes, including IBC, Dubai Municipality codes, NFPA, and UDC standards
• Strong leadership, team management, and client-facing skills with the ability to influence key design decisions
• Proficiency in design software and familiarity with BIM workflows and AI-driven design tools
