The Head of Coffee Shop and Expansion is responsible for leading the daily operations of all coffee shop locations while driving growth through the strategic expansion of the brand into new markets. This role combines operational excellence, brand leadership, team development, and project management for new openings.
Key Responsibilities:Coffee Shop Operations
Oversee the daily operations of all coffee shop locations to ensure exceptional customer service, product quality, and operational efficiency.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all locations.
Monitor financial performance (sales, costs, profit margins) and identify areas for improvement.
Lead, mentor, and develop store managers and staff teams.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Business Expansion
Identify and assess new location opportunities in collaboration with the real estate and development teams.
Conduct market research and feasibility studies for potential new outlets.
Develop business cases and presentations for new expansion projects.
Manage the opening of new stores, including recruitment, training, procurement, and setup.
Oversee brand consistency and quality control in all new locations.
Strategic Planning and Brand Development
Develop and execute short- and long-term growth strategies.
Work closely with the marketing team to drive customer acquisition and retention.
Lead menu innovation in collaboration with product development teams.
Maintain high standards of brand representation in all locations and marketing activities.
Financial and Reporting
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for all coffee shop operations and expansion projects.
Analyze KPIs and sales reports to inform operational and strategic decisions.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
5+ years experience in coffee shop, cafe, or food and beverage operations.
Proven experience in multi-site management and expansion projects.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Knowledge of market trends and customer preferences in the coffee industry.
Financial acumen and experience managing P&L accounts.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or relevant master's degree.
Experience in franchise development (if applicable).
Barista certification or background is a plus.
Work Environment:
Combination of office, on-site coffee shop visits, and travel for new store openings.
Must be flexible to work outside normal business hours when required.
