Job Description

QUALIFICATION EDUCATION: DIPLOMA IN INSTRUMENTATION OR MECHANICAL CERTIFICATION: MUST HAVE ISO 17025 AND ANY ADDED CERTIFICATION. EXPERIENCE: 5-7 YEARS EXPERIENCE AS A CALIBRATION SUPERVISOR WITH A FULL CAPABLITY TO MARKET AND SELL THE SERVICES OF THE CALIBRATION LAB. DRIVING LICENSE: BAHRAIN OR GCC DRIVING LICENSE. LANGUAGE : MUST SPEAK ENGLISH SCOPE OF WORK TO RUN THE CALIBRATION DEPARTMENT. FULLY FAMILIAR WITH THE CALIBRATION OF ELECTRIC AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENTS SUCH AS PRESSURE, ENVIRONMENTAL, THERMAL, MECHANICAL, VALIDATION, MAPPING ETC. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. To ensure that the documented testing methods / calibration method / reference standards are followed during the testing / calibration. 2. To prepare plan for inter lab comparison in consultation with Laboratory Incharge / Technical Incharge and to conduct the same as per plan. 3. To promote a synergistic work culture. 4. To discuss with the Laboratory Manager / Quality In charge / Calibration Incharge and identify the training needs of the employees based on technical review of records and provide the same in consultation with the Quality Incharge. 5. To ensure that proper accommodation and environment is maintained in the testing / calibration areas. 6. To maintain records for re\xe2\x80\x93testing / re-calibration, verification by outside lab; and proficiency testing participation records as a part of quality assurance techniques. 7. To initiate corrective / preventive actions based on the feedback of the quality assurance activities. 8. To ensure that periodic monitoring of the environment and accommodation is done and records as per the documented procedure is maintained. 9. To ensure that all the available literatures including manufacturers manual are followed. 10. To prepare preventive maintenance schedule and to ensure follow\xe2\x80\x93up of preventive maintenance for all identified equipments. 11. To ensure proper and effective follow\xe2\x80\x93up of intermediate checks on the equipments to maintain validity of calibration. 12. To ensure that breakdown maintenance are handled, as early as possible to reduce down time of the equipments, also the instruments suffers from the breakdown are got re\xe2\x80\x93calibrated before using it in the routine testing. 13. To verify and review re\xe2\x80\x93testing / re\xe2\x80\x93calibration records. 14. To ensure that all the equipments are traceable to the national / international standards and having valid relationship. 15. To ensure periodic re\xe2\x80\x93calibration of the reference standards before the validity expires. 16. To ensure optimum use of available resources as a part of productive work. 17. To ensure that the proper records are maintained at all stages of testing, calibration and quality assurance activities. 18. To ensure safe and proper handling of the samples / materials / instruments throughout the laboratory. 19. To ensure that the stringent follow\xe2\x80\x93up of documented management system in the laboratory for technical requirements of ISO/IEC 17025. 20. To review the measurement uncertainty as calculated periodically for each test parameter. 21. To review the measurement uncertainty as calculated periodically for each instruments or parameters in the calibration discipline. 22. To handle all the complaint in technical areas and analyze the same. 23. To identify or develop method for test and calibration and develop the facilities for the testing and calibration. 24. To report to the Laboratory Manager for technical matters and performance of QC/QA checks of Laboratory. 25. To function as an overall responsible person for technical requirements of laboratory. 26. To ensure that periodic checking of temperature, humidity, noise, illumination, electrical supply, earthling resistance etc. are done to ensure accommodation and environment suitable to testing and calibration activities. 27. To perform calibration of instruments, in absence of Calibration Engineers / Technician. 28. To help Quality Incharge for identifying or development method for calibration of new instruments and develop the facilities for the calibration.
