Job Title: Head of Audit UAE National Job Location: Abu Dhabi Remuneration: Competitive Job Responsibilities: Job Objective Supervise and lead the planning and implementation of the Sections annual audit plan ensuring compliance with established standard audit framework and processes of company. Key Responsibilities/Duties A. Strategy and Planning xc2xb7 Develop and manage the implementation and update of the section related policy, procedures manual, delegation of company, systems user manuals and standard forms, and ensure compliance across the company and alignment with companys overall policies and procedures. xc2xb7 Develop and manage the implementation, and update of the sections strategic, budget and procurement, and operational plans ensuring alignment with the department and sectors strategy and objectives, and companys mission and vision. xc2xb7 Ensure effective cascading of the department and sector strategy and objectives, and companys mission and vision into the sections strategic, budget and procurement, and operational plans to achieve companys overall objectives. xc2xb7 Develop the sections Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in line with companys overall objectives and ensure individual KPIs are met to improve efficiency and effectiveness. B. Operations (with sub-headings) xc2xb7 Prepare the sections annual audit plan and submit to the management for review. xc2xb7 Supervise the sections audit assignments and complete critical complex section as allocated as a part of the annual account plan in accordance with relevant company methodologies. xc2xb7 Supervise the sections subject entities relations in line with defined protocols and code of ethics. xc2xb7 Supervise, motivate and guide engagement team members, to achieve the desired objectives in terms of deliverables, cost and time schedule. xc2xb7 Supervise the review and preparation of the sections audit reports and documentation for verification and approval by the relevant department head. xc2xb7 Review the sections audit reports to ensure integrity of information and alignment with the established companys methodologies, standards, and Audit Manual. xc2xb7 Supervise the audit, examination, verification and reconciliation of sections subject entities financial statements to ensure accuracy and authenticity of information. xc2xb7 Ensure that the sections subject entities are compliant with governance and risk management practices in accordance with approved regulation and globally acceptable practices. xc2xb7 Carry our responsibilities of executive auditor / principal auditor / senior principal auditor as and when required to support the Audit sector objectives and company overall strategy. C. Talent Management and Development xc2xb7 Manage the effective achievement of assigned section operational goals through effective leadership by setting individual objectives, managing performance within the section, and developing and motivating the team to maximize performance. xc2xb7 Monitor a sections training plan to ensure that the team attends all trainings and development activities required for the role for continuous performance improvements. xc2xb7 Conduct performance evaluation of subordinates against KPIs by monitoring individual performance, reviewing progress reports, recommending corrective actions and providing overall assessment to support the achievement of companys overall objectives. xc2xb7 Manage team workload within the section through the appropriate delegation of work. xc2xb7 Motivate subordinates, especially focusing on developing capabilities of UAE National employees, to develop a motivated and high performance team. D. Corporate xc2xb7 Ensure employee adherence and compliance with all company corporate policies, procedures and guidelines (HR, IT, Procurement, Finance, Health and Safety etc.) within the assigned section. xc2xb7 Manage and review sections related correspondence such as e-mails, memos, and letters to ensure professionalism, completeness and accuracy of information. xc2xb7 Manage the retention, documentation, preservation, and archive of sections related physical and electronic records in accordance with relevant policies and procedures. xc2xb7 Manage any section related queries and ensure that required response and support are provided to relevant companys organizational units and employees as and when required. xc2xb7 Ensure relevant technologies used within company are utilized by employees in order to optimize work efficiency. xc2xb7 Ensure compliance with companys values, Code of Business Conduct and ethics at all times to support the establishment of a value driven culture within the company. xc2xb7 Ensure the implementation of the relevant health and safety legislation, policies and procedures, in the performance of duties within the assigned section. xc2xb7 Lead the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction. xc2xb7 Ensure that all reports are prepared accurately, submitted timely and meet company requirements and quality standards. E. General xc2xb7 The level of performance should reflect the academic qualification, type of courses in the field of specialization, employee job level, and the level of productivity. xc2xb7 The academic and professional certificates required and approved by company should be acquired within the period specified and based on the employees Individual Development Plan. xc2xb7 Perform the task and responsibilities independently unless an approval or directive was obtained to delegate the task to other employees in case of incapability to perform the tasks and responsibilities. xc2xb7 Ensure teamwork, collaboration, and dedication in performing duties. xc2xb7 Showcase a strong leadership to the team members. xc2xb7 Knowledge and awareness about the capabilities of the subordinates and showcase a strong knowledge in the field of specialization. xc2xb7 Provide the required support and guidance to the subordinates. xc2xb7 Take responsibility of the decisions made. xc2xb7 Execute any other assignment assigned by the leadership. To qualify for this role, you must have: xc2xb7 10 12 maximum years of relevant experience with preferably 6 years in supervisory role. xc2xb7 Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance xc2xb7 Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) xc2xb7 Proficiency in Arabic and English
