Position Overview: We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Head of Accounting to lead our accounting team. The Head of Accounting will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial accounting, reporting, and compliance functions for the organization. This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of financial information and supporting the company\'s strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the accounting team, including financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and tax functions.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing process, including reconciliation of accounts, accruals, and adjustments.
- Manage the preparation and analysis of financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies to facilitate audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor and assess changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and optimize financial reporting practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and legal departments, to support business initiatives, transactions, and strategic projects.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to accounting staff to foster professional development and maintain high standards of performance.
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and technology solutions to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of accounting operations.
