Job Description

JOB PURPOSE: Lead the establishment and manage development of comprehensive strategy, roadmap, program, practices of Audit & Assurance Excellence and Audit Analytics for ADNOC and the Group Companies Audit and Assurance Functions; including standardization of governance practices, implementation of digital tools and platforms and management of the ADNOC Audit Management System to ensure continuous suitability and improvements in the Audit & Assurance governance and execution processes. Collaborate & participate with other Directorates / Functions at HQ for new system or process improvement initiatives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Internal Audit Governance and Excellence Establish robust process for design and implementation of standard governance practices for ADNOC Group Audit and Assurance Functions, including development of ADNOC Group IA Practices and Model documentation. Establish & maintain the Legal & Regulatory Register for the ADNOC Audit & Assurance Functions Manage liaison with expert houses and regulatory bodies to understand requirements, and changes in the regulations and other governance codes applicable to ADNOC Group Audit and Assurance Functions. Support ADNOC AAF management in nomination and annual review of ADNOC Members, and collaborate with ADNOC Group Corporate Governance to ensure timely appointments of Audit Committee members in the Group. Review and provide subject matter advisory while establishing or reviewing Internal Audit governing documents for Group companies of different ownership profiles [Fully owned by ADNOC, Public Listed Companies, Major shareholding and Minor shareholding by ADNOC etc.] Research and recommend, innovative ways of augmenting ADNOC Audit & Assurance Governance & Practices. Maintain an adequate and effective operating model for the ADNOC Audit & Assurance Function and Standard Operating Model for the Group Companies, in close collaboration with ADNOC Group HC. Provide consultancy and SME Advisories in the matters related to Corporate Governance matters specific to Audit & Assurance mandates. Technology and Data Analytics Strategize and manage evolution of Data (Audit) Analytics for the ADNOC Group Audit & Assurance Functions Lead and manage Internal Audit Digital projects & activities. Evolve effective methodologies / systems for enabling suitable and sufficient analysis of internal audit data for Management Information. Manage / lead data analytic studies and evaluate ADNOC group wide Internal Audit performance data to drive Performance. Conceptualise, plan and layout strategies and road map for embedding data analytics techniques within Internal Audit methodologies. Manage adoption of new technologies and platforms in close coordination with Group IT team, with presentations to management on benefits and use cases for ADNOC Group Audit and Assurance Functions. Manage the development of the ADNOC Digital Excellence Centre and lead day to day operational aspects of the Centre. Conduct periodic workshops with ADNOC Group Audit and Assurance Functions for awareness and dissemination of information related to upcoming projects and initiatives related to new technologies. Participate in industry recognition programs for showcasing ADNOC use cases and developments utilizing leading technologies. Manage programs to develop existing auditors, improving their data analytics knowledge and ability Manage the conduct of benchmarking, consulting studies and management information system reports to evolve valuable insights to aid effective management decisions. Manage relationship with Group IT team in relation to utilization of IT resources for AAF digital projects and streamlining processes for internal deployment of new tools and technologies. Audit Management System (AMS) responsibilities Steer/ oversee the AMS design, roll-out and implementation across the ADNOC Group, and provide periodic project status updates to AAF Senior Management; Manage effective utilization of the AMS in ADNOC HQ and Group Companies through analytics and periodic reporting to Audit and Assurance management; Manage key deliberations and discussions on AMS related to enhancements and/or incidents; Manage establishment and roll out of AMS related Audit & Assurance Management Dashboards Manage coordination with the IT team and other stakeholders for utilizing AMS to enable automated performance / Management Information System reporting. Conduct periodic awareness workshops to enhance understanding of AMS functionality as well as for communication of new features, AMS dashboard specifics and reporting capabilities. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Minimum Qualification Bachelor Degree in any Technical or Engineering Stream or equivalent. Master Degree in Technical or Management Disciplines is preferred Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills 12 years of professional experience, including at least 5 Years in Data Science or equivalent & 4 Years in Internal Audit Knowledge about Internal Audit & Quality Assurance local and international standards Ability to analyse information and prepare strategic planning deliverables Effective communication and influencing skills, with the ability to negotiate with, challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels Strong organisational abilities, with the ability to deal with a number of competing priorities
