Job Description
Lead the development of the UAEU Libraries Public Services and Engagement strategies to increase the level of activity in the UAEU Libraries and visitor numbers. \xef\x82\xa7 To manage the Libraries\xe2\x80\x99 public services including Information Services (Reference), Lending (Circulation) and Events for the benefit of students, faculty and community users. \xef\x82\xa7 To work in partnership with external agencies to increase the level of engagement of the UAEU Libraries staff with the community. \xef\x82\xa7 Report back to the UAEU Director of Libraries on the partnerships, and events supporting the UAEU\xe2\x80\x99s strategic agenda. \xef\x82\xa7 Supervise and lead the Unit Head of Events and Outreach \xef\x82\xa7 Supervise and lead the Unit Head of Public Services including the Lending (Circulation) team; the Information Services Team, the Document delivery Team and the Information Literacy Training Team. \xef\x82\xa7 Initiate and develop relationships leading to potential partnerships with industry, government and the community to support the UAEU Libraries strategic agendaMinimum Qualification\xef\x82\xa7 Master degree or equivalent in a relevant field. (e.g. Library science; community development; knowledge management, fine arts /performance)Preferred Qualification
