Primary Purpose of the Job:
Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations at the Laffan Container Terminal (LCT) ensuring the efficient handling, movement, and storage of containers in RLC Port. Manage Contractor personnel including TOS Operators, STS & RTG Crane Operators, Tractor Drivers, and contracted Stevedore teams.
Required Experience and Skills:
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in port operations, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role in container terminal operations.
Knowledge of shipping logistics, vessel operations, and port management best practices. Ability to analyse operational data and reports to identify opportunities for improvement.
Experience in safety management, troubleshooting operational problems, and performance reporting.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage a multinational team effectively. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly in high-pressure situations.
Educational Qualifications:
Internationally recognised maritime qualification or University Degree in Engineering, Logistics, and Transport, Maritime Studies, or another relevant subject.
