It manages the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s borrowings, issuance of debt securities, and use of derivatives to mitigate financial risk, while investing in a range of instruments, including green bonds, short-term placements, and corporate and sovereign debt securities.We are actively seeking an ambitious professional to join our Treasury team at ADCB to work alongside passionate colleagues who share your ambition to redefine excellence in UAE banking.In this role, your key responsibilities include:-To lead and manage ADCB\xe2\x80\x99s Commodity trading activities, including overseeing structuring and execution of transactions, conducting risk and investment return analysis and managing client relationships, in order to maximize profitability whilst minimizing risk exposure and ensuring compliance with internal policy and external regulations.-Direct, develop and implement ADCB\xe2\x80\x99s commodity strategy and trading framework in order to maximize profitability whilst effectively managing risk exposures.-Support the structuring of ADCB\xe2\x80\x99s commodity products, engaging support and input from the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s support and delivery channels, sin order that that the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s products and solutions remain client-focused and market competitive, stay up to date on client requirements and provide appropriate products and stay abreast of market developments/new products-Lead and direct ADCB\xe2\x80\x99s Commodities trading activity and capabilities, including pricing and structuring of transactions, risk and investment return analysis, overseeing interactions with other desks and departments, in order to maximize the performance and profitability of the Bank.-Oversee ongoing market evaluation, due diligence and risk monitoring of the prospective and live commodity trades to ensure that all aspects of risk are appropriately considered and to implement appropriate hedging strategies-Manage self and team in line with ADCB\xe2\x80\x99s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximize own and employee contribution to business performance.-Contribute to the preparation of the business area\xe2\x80\x99s budget and manage and monitor the financial performance against the budget so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon-Recommend and implement improvements to departmental policies, procedures and processes covering all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural requirements are fulfilled while ensuring that ADCB delivers best-in-class services, products and innovation-Develop, implement and continuously review SOPs and practices for commodity trading to ensure compliance with both internal policy and external regulatory requirements-Identify opportunities to contribute to organizational and departmental change initiatives, programmes and projects taking into account best practice and standards in the business environmentSkillsThe ideal candidate should have the following experience:-First degree in quantitative discipline-At least 9 years of experience in progressively more complex and responsible roles in commodity trading-Familiar with industry best practice-Knowledge of local regulatory requirements-Excellent communication skills-Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)-Strong knowledge of treasury operations, financial instruments, risk management techniques, and capital markets-Familiarity with international tax and accounting regulations, cross-border transactions, and foreign exchange strategies-Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills-Strong leadership and people management abilities-Proficiency in financial software and systems, such as treasury management systems-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholdersAt ADCB, we are dedicated to creating a respectful, caring and disciplined work environment that aligns with your career ambitions.
