The Head Chef is responsible for ensuring that the standard and quality of the food production and the hygiene within the department is maintained at the highest level at all times. This role is very much hands-on, requiring attention to detail and a positive work attitude.
Roles & Responsibilities: Carry out reviews of procedures, identify improvements and ensure they are effective Motivate Chefs, improve production and management techniques Develop and authorize new dishes and catering menus Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities Order and maintain inventory of food and supplies Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages Meetings with kitchen staff, identifying issues, providing solutions and motivating the team. Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and other food preparation workers Produce reports and attend meetings with demonstrate the performance of the staff and kitchen. Ensuring that an asset maintenance and hygiene program is carried out effectively Skills. Well versed in food safety management, stock control, costing analysis and a great culinary innovation.
