Key Responsibilities:
Kitchen Operations:
Oversee daily operations of the kitchen and all back-of-house activities
Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and presentation standards
Ensure food is prepared in a timely and hygienic manner during peak hours
Ensure proper portioning, presentation, and taste quality
Team Management:
Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff including cooks, sous chefs, and stewards
Schedule shifts, assign tasks, and ensure a positive team culture
Conduct regular performance evaluations and manage team development
Inventory & Cost Control:
Manage food inventory, ordering, and stock rotation
Control food costs, wastage, and maintain budgeted profit margins
Liaise with suppliers and vendors for fresh and cost-effective ingredients
Health & Safety:
Enforce high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen areas
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP)
Oversee kitchen maintenance and equipment servicing
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a sports bar, casual dining,
Strong knowledge of American, Tex-Mex, and comfort food cuisines
Experience in high-volume kitchens and fast-paced environments
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Familiarity with kitchen management software is a plus
Culinary diploma or relevant certification preferred
Must be flexible with schedule, including evenings, weekends, and game nights
