Holiday Inn & Suites Dubai Science Park, is looking for an ambitious, dedicated, creative and guest-oriented Head Chef to join their extraordinary team! Ideally located in the heart of Dubai Science Park, in the most sought after residential area of Dubai. Minutes away from mega malls, magnificent Jumeirah Beaches, world\xe2\x80\x99s leading tourist attractions and Parks, auto drome and over 5 championship golf courses. Holiday Inn & Suites at Dubai Science Park includes 240 hotel rooms and suites and 84 one-bedroom apartments, anchor F&B offerings and an extensive 1026sqm cutting-edge meeting and events facilities. As a Head Chef you will direct all kitchen activities and ensure quality food is prepared \xe2\x80\x93 helping to create memorable experiences for guests - whenever and wherever they dine. You will also ensure food standards, kitchen maintenance, and inventory functions kept to our high standards - to make sure your kitchen is always running smoothly. A little taste of your day-to-day:

• Fostering and leading a positive work environment for all employees.
• Directing daily kitchen activities as well as coaching and developing a team capable of catering to more than 100 people.
• Encouraging and addressing guest feedback.
• Ensure hotel operating standards and applicable laws and regulations are followed.
• Demonstrate and coach teams with your excellent product knowledge of both culinary disciplines as well as best kitchen practice.
• Ensure efficient and effective performance in ordering, keeping fair stock levels and minimizing waste.
• Work with department managers to develop initiatives to reach service standards and drive continuous improvement in the guest and colleague experience.
• Working alongside our Groups & Events Sales Manager and Outlets Manager in planning the smooth running of events.
• Review monthly forecasts and schedule resources accordingly.
• Monitor staffing to manage costs.
• Other ad-hoc duties \xe2\x80\x93 unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done.

What we need from you: We are looking for a culinary expert who is creative, inspirational to his/her team, energetic, demonstrating and practicing quality leadership competencies, able to understand and lead multinational team. Leading the culinary operations for hotel\xe2\x80\x99s all-day dining, pub, lobby caf\xc3\xa9, pool bar, in room dining and event operation.

• Degree or certificate in culinary arts.
• Currently experience in a Head Chef position or 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as a Sous Chef.
• Experience in catering for up to 200 people.
• Hotel and banqueting experience is highly regarded.
