We are seeking an experienced and passionate
Turkish Head Chef
to lead the kitchen operations of our premium
Turkish restaurant and lounge
concept. The ideal candidate has a strong background in
authentic Turkish cuisine
combined with
modern presentation and lounge-style dining
, capable of designing menus, leading teams, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
You will be responsible for
menu creation, food quality, cost control, kitchen leadership, team training, HACCP compliance, and overall culinary vision
.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all kitchen operations
Create authentic and innovative
Turkish restaurant & lounge menus
Ensure exceptional taste, presentation, and consistency of dishes
Oversee
grill, kebab, mezze, bakery, dessert and live cooking stations
Train, mentor, and schedule kitchen brigade staff
Control
food cost, portioning, wastage, inventory, and purchasing
Ensure compliance with
HACCP, Dubai Municipality, and hygiene standards
Collaborate with operations team on events, promotions, and new concepts
Work closely with management on pricing, menu engineering, and recipes
Lead kitchen during peak service in a
high-volume restaurant & lounge
environment
Support pre-opening setup if required (SOPs, kitchen layout, equipment list)
Requirements
Minimum
5-7 years experience
as Head Chef or Sous Chef in Turkish restaurants
Strong expertise in:
Kebabs & grills (mangal, ocakbasi)
Pide, lahmacun, bakery
Cold & hot mezze
Clay pot & slow-cooked dishes
Turkish desserts and sweets
Experience working in
restaurant + lounge / nightlife / shisha venues
is an advantage
Proven leadership and team management skills
Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene systems
Ability to design menus and maintain standard recipe costing
UAE / GCC experience preferred
Fluency in English required (Turkish language is a plus)
Preferred Background
Istanbul, Gaziantep, Hatay, Bursa culinary experience
Experience with
open kitchen & live grill
concepts
Experience in
fine dining or premium casual Turkish venues
Pre-opening restaurant experience
