Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations of the bakery kitchen, including production schedules, inventory, and quality control.
  • Develop and create new French pastry and bakery recipes while maintaining traditional favorites.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation.
  • Monitor food costs and budgeting, maintaining profitability while upholding quality.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
  • Collaborate with management on menu planning, promotions, and special events.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Pastry Chef in a French bakery or patisserie.
  • In-depth knowledge of French baking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Creative and innovative approach to developing new recipes and product offerings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of kitchen management best practices and food cost controls.
  • Diploma or degree in culinary arts or relevant field preferred.
