We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Head Chef who possesses a deep understanding of Saudi cuisine. The ideal candidate will be passionate about showcasing the rich traditions of Saudi Arabian culinary heritage in a modern and creative way. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading a culinary team to create exceptional dishes that exemplify Saudi cuisine while incorporating contemporary culinary techniques and presentation. Responsibilities:
Develop and create a menu that presents Saudi cuisine in a modern, innovative, and visually appealing manner.
Plan and execute menu items, ensuring they meet the highest standards of taste, presentation, and quality.
Oversee all aspects of food preparation and ensure adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines.
Collaborate with Sous Chefs and other members of the culinary team to develop new recipes and refine existing ones, incorporating modern culinary techniques and trends.
Train and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring consistency and continuous improvement in cooking techniques, food handling, and plating.
Maintain inventory levels, monitor food costs, and work closely with the purchasing department to source high-quality ingredients.
Conduct regular kitchen inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Stay updated with current culinary trends, techniques, and ingredients related to Saudi and Middle Eastern cuisines.
Collaborate with the restaurant management team to plan and execute special events and promotions related to Saudi cuisine.
Foster a positive and productive working environment within the kitchen, promoting teamwork, respect, and professional growth.
Qualifications:
Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field is highly preferred.
Extensive experience (at least 5-7 years) as a Chef, with a focus on Saudi/Arabic cuisine.
In-depth knowledge of traditional Saudi dishes, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
Proven ability to infuse modern and global culinary trends into traditional Saudi cuisine.
Strong leadership skills, including the ability to effectively train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Impeccable attention to detail and a commitment to delivering consistently high-quality dishes.
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards and the ability to enforce them in the kitchen.
Proactive and open to new ideas, with a passion for culinary innovation and creativity.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
