We are looking for an experienced Female Head Cashier to join our diverse team who can communicate well on behalf of the employer to the customers, oversees the cashier staff and overall functions of a retail store. Candidates must have prior experience in a similar role with a reputed supermarket (at least 3-4 years of experience). Job Responsibilities:-
- Monitor the work of the cashiers on daily basis
- Ensure adherence is optimized
- Ensure all cashiers are briefed on the weekly ad specials for current events and promotions being run across the stores (20%, 15%) and that the discounts are being calculated correctly
- Manage and ensure that there is a fast, friendly and accurate check out services for customers waiting in the queue for check out
- Ensure that the returned products are handed over correctly to the shelf
- Ensure hygiene standards are maintained, well equipped and organized for speedy check out process
- Monitor the till area is replenished with stocks of sweets, magazines and other areas
- Ensure transactions are processed accurately
- Monitor and reduce wastage of plastics bags and initiate recycling initiatives to cashier/customers
- Ensure that misplaced stock is returned to the sales floor.
- Performs till point authorizations speedily and efficiently.
- Ensure that cashiers are aware of any price changes and do regular price checks.
- Brief the cashiers on the currency exchange rates during the day.
- Demonstrate self-discipline with regards to attendance, dress code policy, hygiene and time keeping.
- Resolve conflicts, if any, between the customers and shop employees
- Manage customer\xe2\x80\x99s expectations, if he/she makes any suggestions
- Manage till queues effectively during busy times.
- Deal with customer complaints, queries and request quickly and efficiently.
- Performs any other reasonable duties as required by the department head
- Monitor the round offs on purchases and any fraudulent cash events to the shop manager
- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
