The Role
Key Responsibilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop and deliver comprehensive barista training programs, focusing on specialty coffee preparation techniques and customer engagement. \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct regular workshops and sessions on manual brewing methods, espresso making, latte art, and other specialty coffee techniques. \xe2\x80\xa2 Implement sensory evaluation training to enhance coffee flavor understanding and quality assurance. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure accurate equipment calibration and maintenance for optimal coffee brewing. \xe2\x80\xa2 Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement among the barista team. \xe2\x80\xa2 Stay abreast of industry trends and integrate innovative practices into training programs. \xe2\x80\xa2 Collaborate with management and other teams to align training with company goals. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensuring up-to-date and relevant training environments. \xe2\x80\xa2 Adapt teaching methods to cater to various learning styles, including theory, practical, sensory, and visual techniques.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in specialty coffee, including barista training. \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficient in various manual brewing methods and espresso techniques. \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong knowledge of sensory evaluation and coffee quality standards. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experienced in equipment calibration and maintenance. \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent leadership and communication skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Passionate about coffee and customer service. \xe2\x80\xa2 SCA certification or equivalent is highly desirable. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and different skill levels. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience as an SCA Authorized Trainer (AST) is preferred but not mandatory.
