Job Description
Coffee Preparation and Service:As the Head Barista at our premium coffee shop inside ladies only Fitness Club, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of coffee preparation and beverage service within the Club. Your role will require a deep understanding of coffee brewing techniques, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to lead a team of baristas effectively. Key responsibilities: Coffee Preparation and Service:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and specialty drinks.
- Ensure consistent quality and taste of all coffee offerings by training and supervising the barista team.
- Maintain a clean and organized coffee bar area, including the proper storage of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies.
- Monitor and adjust coffee equipment, such as espresso machines and grinders, to maintain optimal performance.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately.
- Train, mentor, and supervise a team of baristas, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional customer service.
- Schedule shifts and allocate tasks efficiently to ensure adequate staffing levels and smooth operations.
- Lead by example, demonstrating excellent customer service, professionalism, and a passion for coffee.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to the barista team members.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication.
- Greet Gym members, take orders, and provide recommendations on coffee selections based on their preferences.
- Ensure prompt and friendly service, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Build and maintain relationships with regular gym members and promote a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies, placing orders as needed.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of coffee beans to maintain freshness.
- Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality coffee beans and other products.
- Previous experience as a barista, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role. Preferably 4 to 5 years UAE Experience.
- In-depth knowledge of coffee beans, brewing techniques, and espresso-based beverages.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to engage with a diverse customer base.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using coffee equipment, including espresso machines and grinders.
- Flexibility in work hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Passion for health, fitness, and wellness, with an understanding of gym culture and clientele.
