to join the team. The role involves overseeing all aspects of the coffee bar in accordance with the vision and mission of Stomping Grounds. The

will be instrumental in the development and evolution of the cafe in collaboration with the Owner and Operations Manager

2 x SYNESSO MVP Hydra (2 group) 4 x Anfim Grinders 1 x Grindie - on demand coffee grinder 1 x Mahlkonig EK43 1x Uber Boiler 1 x Poursteady and manual brewing methods with an annual rotating list of over 16 single origins (FYI - on any given day we usually have at least 3 different beans in our hoppers. A house blend or 2, along with 3 single origins in the espresso hoppers and filters and a Gesha.

KEY FACTORS

Proactively train and guide our baristas.

Develop new recipes and recipe costings, bar stock control and inventory management, retail stock control, opening and closing procedures along with other SOPs is a must.

Maintain and uphold all Company and Cafe policies

Actively work towards creating a superior Cafe experience through customer service, beverage preparation and presentation, in-store marketing and the upkeep and maintenance of coffee areas

Prepare and serve great espresso based drinks, pourovers and other beverages.

Excellent knowledge of coffees, their origins, their flavour notes and aromas, along with the various methods of brewing, preparation and presentation.

Conduct scheduled Cupping, Brewing and Espresso Workshops.

Excellent latte art skills.

Our IDEAL HEAD BARISTA should:

Have a minimum of three years experience working as a Head Barista with specialty coffee and should be a certified barista. Have plenty of cupping experience. Be physically capable of working around 9 hours a day on your feet Have sharp attention to detail Have a thirst for knowledge with the ability to interact and share knowledge with customers. Have excellent communication skills and charm in abundance, with excellent guest service skills Have the ability to deal with immense pressure and work quickly whilst maintaining consistently high standards Have demonstrative ability to work well within a team Be fluent in English
