Job Description

The Head Barista will lead and manage the coffee program, ensuring world-class beverage quality, consistency, and presentation. This role requires strong leadership, advanced coffee knowledge, and a passion for luxury hospitality.

Coffee & Beverage Standards

Prepare and serve specialty coffee and espresso beverages to premium standards Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation across all shifts Develop and refine coffee recipes aligned with the brand's French identity Calibrate, operate, and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment

Team Leadership & Training

Lead, train, and mentor baristas to deliver exceptional service Conduct regular training on coffee knowledge, extraction, milk texturing, and latte art Prepare staff schedules and manage daily barista operations Monitor performance and ensure compliance with SOPs

Operations & Quality Control

Manage coffee inventory, ordering, and supplier coordination Ensure compliance with Qatar food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station Coordinate with kitchen and service teams for smooth service flow

Guest Experience

Deliver a refined and welcoming cafe experience Engage with guests and provide coffee recommendations and education Handle guest feedback and resolve service issues professionally Represent the brand as a coffee ambassador

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 4-6 years of professional barista experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or head barista role Strong knowledge of specialty coffee, brewing methods, and equipment Experience in premium cafes, fine dining restaurants, or luxury hotels Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Multicultural team experience preferred Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays
