PLEASE NOTE - ONLY CANDIDATES IN THE UAE WILL BE CONSIDERED. The Head barista is responsible for serving all products with friendly, individualized attention towards each customer. He/she is also responsible for educating customers about our premium coffees and teas. The barista fulfills any other duties that is needed from the Bar that is assigned to him by the Operations Manager or Leader in charge. Requirements: - In-depth knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, and espresso machine operation. - Proficiency in adjusting grind settings and understanding extraction times. - Several years of experience working as a barista, preferably in a busy cafe or coffee shop. - A proven track record of making high-quality espresso-based beverages. - Strong leadership and supervisory skills to manage and motivate a team of baristas. - Ability to lead by example, set standards, and train new staff. - Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner. - Problem-solving skills to handle customer complaints and inquiries effectively. - Familiarity with the cafe\'s menu, including knowledge of various coffee and tea options, as well as food items. - Ability to make recommendations to customers based on their preferences. - Effective time management skills to ensure efficient service and minimal customer wait times during peak hours. - Knowledge of machine maintenance and cleaning procedures to keep equipment in optimal working condition. - Ability to manage coffee bean and supplies inventory, ensuring that the cafe has an adequate stock of ingredients. - A flair for latte art and the ability to create visually appealing coffee presentations. - Willingness to train and mentor new baristas, ensuring that they uphold quality and service standards. - Good Communication Skills Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintains the highest quality, consistent product standards.
- Follows all Company drink recipes and procedures.
- Develops an understanding of coffee and tea regions and the various differences in flavor and blends.
- Begins to educate themselves on the various types of coffee, tea products, blends and roasts.
- Proficiently prepares blended and cold drinks provided by the store.
- Prepare or serve hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, or tea.
- Greets all customers with fast, friendly, personalized service and develops a rapport with customers by learning their names, favorite drinks and food items.
- Verbally receives and calls back customer orders in a friendly manner.
- Reports all customer complaints to manager on duty if faced any
- Responds proactively to prevent customer service situations.
- Answers customer questions regarding coffee & tea blends, preparation, and product freshness.
- Restocks shelves when necessary and checks the par stocks
- Routinely cleans the bar area, floor, windows and grinders, etc.
- Assists in the distribution of weekly shipments
- Reports potential safety hazards to the manager on duty.
- Reports all employee accidents to the manager on duty.
- Informs the manager on duty of any operational inconsistencies. Job Type: Full-time
