Aldar Education are currently seeking an outstanding Head of Achievement & Industry for the Middle and Senior School at Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi commencing in the 2025-2026 academic year.
Mamoura British Academy is a British curriculum, mixed gender school until Year 9 and a girl's only Senior School. It is located in a state of the art building in the heart of Abu Dhabi. Responsibilities:
A. Strategic direction and development of the Middle and Senior School
xc2xb7 Supporting the writing of Performance Standards 3 and 4 of the SEF and SDP
xc2xb7 Supporting relevant Heads of Department in writing Performance Standard 1 of the SEF
xc2xb7 Data analysis of internal and external assessments and exams for subjects in Year 5 to Year 13
xc2xb7 Support teams with writing the SEF and SDP
xc2xb7 Academic MER and quality assurance.
B. Curriculum
xc2xb7 Development and enhancement of our Industry Partners to ensure they are meaningful contributors to the curriculum and student achievement
xc2xb7 Working with the Assistant Principal of Curriculum, Assessment and Data to support curriculum development
. Year group curriculum overviews
. Home learning
xc2xb7 Further development of the careers' curriculum and provision.
C. Achievement, Teaching and Learning
xc2xb7 Pupil Progress
. To collaborate with the Director of Pastoral Care, Director of Inclusion, Heads of Year and Heads of Department to drive data-informed intervention so that all students fulfil their academic potential
. Mentoring of students across Senior School (Y10 - 13)
. Organising and facilitating Pupil Progress Meetings
. Feedback to staff on learning and teaching including:
. Steplab developmental coaching of targeted staff
. Regular lesson drop-ins
. Middle/Senior and Whole School MER processes
xc2xb7 Leading induction sessions for new staff linked to key areas of responsibility
xc2xb7 Ensure high expectations for all staff in relation to standards of achievement, supporting aspirational, data-informed target setting
xc2xb7 Organisation, monitoring and quality assurance of school Booster/Revision Sessions for I/GCSE and A-Level courses
xc2xb7 Final quality assurance of reports from curriculum teams.
D. Leading and Managing Staff
xc2xb7 Line management of allocated Heads of Department(s) with responsibilities including:
. Weekly meetings with leaders based on strategic intentions and MER processes
. Performance management in line with Mamoura British Academy and Aldar HQ expectations
. Supporting the writing of SEF and Action Plans for allocated departments
xc2xb7 Line management of the Careers' Counsellor, Librarians and Extra-Curricular activities lead.
E. Managing Resources
xc2xb7 Innovation of learning environments; developing rooms and corridors into dynamic, unique learning environments to support curriculum development and National Identity
xc2xb7 Writing the prospectus' for Middle and Senior School Options and creating the year group curriculum overviews
xc2xb7 Undertaking school tours for prospective parents
xc2xb7 Leading CATS and supporting admissions and transfers for new students.
F. Other Duties and Responsibilities
xc2xb7 To be an Academic Mentor to Year 11, Year 12 and Year 13 students
xc2xb7 To collaborate with colleagues across the school on all inspections, including but not exclusive to BSO, ADEK Irtiqaa, ADEK National Identity and internal Aldar reviews
xc2xb7 To lead ELT and SLT presentations as required
xc2xb7 Fulfil teaching responsibilities as and when needed to support the education team
xc2xb7 Invigilate examinations, as required, including a minimum of one evening and one weekend external examination session, to support the Examinations Officer and Summer Examination Schedule
xc2xb7 Any other duties as assigned by the Principal.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications : A Bachelor degree in Education or a Bachelor of Arts/Science
with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
Minimum Experience : Minimum 6 years teaching experience in English National Curriculum

xc2xb7 Ability to work under pressure, problem-solve, deal with challenging situations and be resilient
