We are seeking a talented and experienced Hair Color Specialist to join our salon team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hair color trends, techniques, and client satisfaction. As a Hair Color Specialist, you will consult with clients to understand their desired look, recommend suitable color options, and perform professional color applications using safe and effective methods.

Key Responsibilities:

Consult with clients to determine their hair color goals and assess hair condition. Recommend and apply hair color techniques including highlights, balayage, ombre, root touch-ups, corrective coloring, and all-over color. Mix and apply hair color products accurately and safely according to manufacturer guidelines. Stay updated on industry trends, color techniques, and new products. Educate clients on color maintenance, aftercare, and product recommendations. Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including tools, stations, and equipment. Collaborate with stylists and other salon staff to deliver a seamless customer experience. Maintain accurate client records and color formulation notes. Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines as required by state regulations.

Qualifications:

Valid state cosmetology license. Proven experience as a colorist or hair stylist with a strong focus on color services. In-depth knowledge of hair color theory, techniques, and product lines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze hair condition and suggest appropriate treatments. Detail-oriented with excellent customer service skills.

Preferred Skills:

Certification in advanced color techniques or from color brands (e.g., Redken, Wella, L'Oreal Professionnel). Experience with color correction and fashion color applications. Knowledge of salon software systems for booking and client management.

Work Environment:

Fast-paced salon setting. Requires standing for long periods and working with chemical products. Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
