Position Overview:

As a Hair Stylist Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching students essential skills in hairdressing, including hair color techniques, cutting, straightening, and hair extensions. You will guide students through practical, hands-on learning, ensuring they develop the technical proficiency needed to thrive in the beauty industry. This is an exciting opportunity to share your expertise with aspiring stylists and help shape the future of the hairdressing profession.

Responsibilities:

Teach students how to apply hair color techniques (balayage, highlights, ombre, etc.), cutting, straightening, and hair extension application. Develop and deliver lesson plans that cover both theoretical and practical aspects of hairdressing. Provide hands-on training and one-on-one guidance to students as they practice and improve their skills. Stay current with the latest trends, techniques, and products in the hair industry and incorporate them into your teaching. Ensure that students understand and follow safety and hygiene protocols at all times. Offer constructive feedback to students, helping them refine their techniques and build confidence. Maintain a professional and supportive learning environment where students feel motivated and inspired. Assist with student assessments, providing insights into their progress and areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Hair Stylist with expertise in hair color, cutting, straightening, and extensions. Certification or relevant training in hairdressing is required. Previous teaching or mentoring experience is a plus, but not essential. In-depth knowledge of hairdressing trends, techniques, and products. Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly. Passion for teaching and helping students succeed. Ability to adapt to different learning styles and ensure students' success. Flexibility to work part-time hours.
