Overview

We are seeking an experienced Gypsum Carpenter Supervisor to lead and oversee gypsum and drywall installation projects on construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive carpentry expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes. This role involves managing a team, coordinating project activities, and ensuring quality standards are met efficiently and safely. Prior experience in the restoration industry, framing, and blueprint reading is highly desirable to ensure successful project execution.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate all gypsum and drywall installation activities on-site Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan work sequences Lead the fabrication and installation of drywall, plastering, stucco, siding, and related materials Oversee rebar installation, concrete forming, metal stud framing, and fixture installation as needed Ensure proper use of hand tools, power tools, CNC equipment, and other construction machinery Manage heavy lifting operations safely and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols Conduct quality inspections to verify adherence to project specifications and industry standards Coordinate with other trades such as electrical, plumbing, masonry, roofing, and flooring teams Maintain a clean and organized work environment while managing project timelines Train and mentor team members in proper techniques for carpentry, drywall finishing, caulking, mold remediation, water damage restoration, and remodeling tasks

Skills

Extensive experience in construction estimating, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, and woodworking Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and fabrication techniques Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, metal stud framing, fixture installation, and schematic interpretation Skilled in plastering, stucco application, siding installation (including vinyl and fiber cement), tile laying, flooring installation, cabinetry work including cabinet installation and door hanging Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; experience with masonry and roofing is a plus Familiarity with restoration industry practices including mold remediation and water damage restoration Knowledge of electrical experience related to fixture wiring or electrical rough-ins is advantageous Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills for effective coordination with clients and team members
