The ideal candidate will have experience in cutting, installing, and finishing gypsum board systems for ceilings, walls, and partitions, ensuring high-quality results that meet project specifications and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Measure and cut gypsum boards (drywall) to specified dimensions.
Install gypsum panels on walls and ceilings using screws, nails, or adhesives.
Frame partitions and ceilings using metal or wood studs.
Tape and mud drywall seams, joints, and corners to create smooth surfaces.
Sand surfaces and apply finishing coats (e.g., plaster, putty) as needed.
Install ceiling systems such as gypsum tile or acoustic panels when required.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety standards, and company procedures.
Work closely with other trades (e.g., electricians, plumbers) on job sites.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Operate and maintain tools and equipment properly.
