Job Summary

:

The Gypsum Carpenter is responsible for the installation, repair, and finishing of gypsum boards (drywall) in accordance with project specifications. This includes creating partitions, ceilings, bulkheads, and decorative elements using gypsum boards and associated metal framing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Measure, cut, and install gypsum boards, drywall panels, and ceiling tiles to specification.

Construct metal and wooden framing for gypsum board installations.

Install false ceilings, bulkheads, and decorative features using gypsum board.

Apply finishing materials such as joint compound, tape, and sanding to prepare surfaces for painting.

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and project quality standards.

Collaborate with site engineers, electricians, plumbers, and painters to ensure smooth workflow and coordination.

Perform repairs or modifications to existing gypsum structures as needed.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and work area.

Requirements

:

Proven experience as a Gypsum Carpenter or Drywall Installer in a construction environment.

Ability to work with hand and power tools relevant to carpentry and gypsum work.

Good understanding of construction safety protocols.

Ability to read construction drawings and technical specifications.

Physical strength and stamina to perform tasks involving lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (vocational training preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in gypsum installation or interior fit-out projects.

Experience working in the ( eg, construction, facility management, manufacturing) sector fit-out projects.

Preferrd Language: Hindi or Urdu.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED800.00 - AED1,200.00 per month
