The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of framing, cutting, fitting, and finishing gypsum boards while ensuring precise alignment, structural integrity, and smooth surfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Install gypsum board on walls, ceilings, and partitions using screws or adhesives.
Measure, cut, and shape drywall sheets to fit specific spaces.
Construct and install metal or wooden framing for gypsum board installation.
Tape and finish joints, corners, and seams to create a smooth surface using joint compound and drywall tape.
Install ceiling systems including T-bar (suspended) and gypsum false ceilings.
Repair or patch damaged drywall and re-finish to match the existing surface.
Follow blueprints, technical drawings, or verbal instructions to complete layout and design specifications.
