in installing and finishing gypsum boards (drywall) and false ceilings. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in interior fit-out work, including cutting, fixing, framing, and finishing gypsum panels to a high standard of accuracy and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and layout designs.
Measure and mark cutting lines accurately on materials.
Cut and shape gypsum boards to fit specified dimensions.
Install gypsum boards on walls, ceilings, partitions, and other surfaces.
Construct and install drywall partitions, suspended ceilings, bulkheads, and feature walls.
Fix metal framing and furring channels to support gypsum structures.
Apply joint compounds and tape to seams and corners.
Sand and finish surfaces for painting or decoration.
Repair and patch damaged drywall or ceiling panels.
Ensure work complies with site specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience
as a Gypsum Carpenter (required).
Proficiency in gypsum board installation, ceiling systems, and partition work.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Strong attention to detail and finishing work.
Familiarity with workplace safety procedures and PPE usage.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Basic communication skills in English or Arabic (advantageous).
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in UAE or Gulf region interior projects (optional).
Vocational training or certification in carpentry or interior works.
Knowledge of fire-rated and moisture-resistant drywall systems.
Working Conditions:
Work on residential, commercial, or industrial construction sites.
Exposure to dust, tools, and physical labor in both indoor and outdoor environments.
May require working at heights or in confined spaces.
Flexibility to work overtime or on weekends based on project needs.
