The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in installing, repairing, and finishing gypsum (drywall) partitions, ceilings, and decorative elements in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. Attention to detail, precision, and knowledge of materials are essential.
Key Responsibilities
:
Installation
: Measure, cut, and install gypsum board (drywall) on walls and ceilings according to project specifications.
Taping & Finishing
: Apply tape, joint compound, and other finishing materials to seams, cracks, and joints to ensure a smooth surface.
Plastering & Patching
: Perform plastering, patching, and repair work on gypsum boards as needed to restore surfaces to perfect condition.
Framing
: Assist in installing framing structures to support gypsum boards and other interior systems.
Surface Preparation
: Prepare surfaces before applying gypsum boards, ensuring that all walls and ceilings are clean, smooth, and ready for installation.
Measurement & Layout
: Accurately measure spaces, cut materials to fit, and ensure precise alignment and symmetry in installations.
Safety & Compliance
: Follow all health and safety regulations while working on-site. Ensure that all work complies with local building codes and company standards.
Team Collaboration
: Work closely with other construction team members (e.g., electricians, plasterers) to ensure smooth project execution and high-quality results.
Customer Service
: Maintain professional communication with clients, ensuring satisfaction with the quality and progress of work.
