Gypsum Board Technician

Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Gypsum Board Technician to carry out installation, finishing, and repair of gypsum board (drywall) systems. The technician must ensure quality workmanship in line with project specifications, safety standards, and design requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Install gypsum boards, partitions, ceilings, and decorative elements according to drawings and specifications. Measure, mark, and cut boards accurately to fit around fixtures and openings. Install metal or wooden framing, channels, and suspension systems. Apply taping, jointing compounds, sanding, and surface finishing to achieve smooth finishes. Perform repairs and maintenance on existing gypsum board structures. Coordinate with other trades to ensure proper sequencing of work. Maintain tools and materials in good condition and ensure safe job site practices. Follow site instructions, safety protocols, and quality assurance procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements:
High school certificate or technical training in interior finishing (preferred). Minimum 3-5 years of experience in gypsum board installation and finishing. Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and layout plans. Skilled in cutting, framing, jointing, sanding, and finishing techniques. Familiarity with false ceilings, bulkheads, and decorative drywall features. Knowledge of safety standards and site work protocols. Physically fit and able to work at heights.
