Job Summary

The Guest Room A/C Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all air conditioning and ventilation systems in guest rooms and public areas. The technician ensures optimal comfort levels for guests by maintaining the HVAC systems in top condition while adhering to hotel standards and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, particularly guest room A/C units (split, window, or central systems). Perform regular preventive maintenance checks to ensure all guest room air conditioning systems are functioning properly. Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests or complaints related to A/C and ventilation. Diagnose faults, replace or repair parts, and test system functionality after repairs. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed, parts used, and time taken. Ensure compliance with safety standards and hotel maintenance procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the maintenance workshop and tools. Assist other maintenance team members with general maintenance duties as needed. Report major system issues to the Maintenance Supervisor or Chief Engineer.

Qualifications and Skills

High school diploma or technical certification in HVAC or a related field. Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in A/C maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and controls. Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Physically fit and able to work in confined spaces or at heights. Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing systems is a plus. Professional attitude and good communication skills. Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements

Frequent lifting and carrying of tools or equipment up to 25 kg. Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Comfortable working in hot or cold environments.
