OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for the management of all aspects of the Guest care operation, in accordance with hotel standards. Actively participate in the day to day Guest care operation of the property to ensure the safety and well being of all guests, visitors, internal guests and property.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare and adjust weekly work schedules in accordance with staffing guidelines and labor forecasts.
  • Ensure that associates report to work as scheduled. Document any late or absent associates.
  • Coordinate breaks for associates.
  • Assign work duties to associates.
  • Conduct pre-shift meeting with associates and review all information pertinent to the day's business.
  • Inspect grooming and attire of associates; rectify any deficiencies.
  • Inspect, plan and ensure that all materials and equipment are in complete readiness for service; rectify deficiencies with respective personnel.
  • Constantly monitor associates performance in all phases of service and job functions; rectify any deficiencies with respective.
  • Propose training and discuss subjects with the Guest Care Manager

  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
  • Ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis.
  • Have the ability to respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situations
  • Act on issues and concerns within field of activity immediately and report actions taken to the Guest care Manager in a timely & efficient manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all assigned duties & responsibilities.
  • Present in a professional manner whilst on duty and maintains at all times polite relations with guests, visitors and internal guests.
  • Conduct in a manner so as to always portray the highest ethical and behavioral standards and to protect and defend the business’ reputation in the eyes of the authorities, the public, owners, management, guests, tenants and internal guests.
  • Support and assist in maintaining the operating standards established by Rosewood Hotels and Resorts.
  • Carry out regular patrols in a dedicated and thorough fashion.
  • Note and reports incidents in writing using the provided format. Submit incident reports.
  • Note and report broken defective or dangerous equipment as well as facilitates repairs and corrective action to items within the property that may presents a hazard or threat to the life, safety and well being of our guests and associates.
  • Check and challenge all “unauthorized” or “suspicious” persons within the premises in a polite and professional manner at all times.
  • Check vehicle traffic within the premises and in the areas dedicated to car parking.
  • Check for acts of abuse or damage and reports all incidents in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Carry out other duties that may from time to time be assigned to him by management.

OSHAD RESPONSIBILITIES: While at work, (and while on work premises) an associate shall:
  • Take reasonable care of their own health and safety.
  • Take reasonable care of the health and safety of a person and the workplace, that may be affected by their acts or omission at work;
  • Cooperate with full compliance with Hotel’s developed OSHMS policies, OSHMS procedures & operational works instruction in order to protect the health and safety of the people.
  • Report to immediate supervisor any situation which they have reason to believe could present a hazards and which they cannot themselves correct;
  • Report all OSH incidents and work related injuries; and
  • Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided (e.g. Equipment & machineries, PPE, etc.) at the Hotel’s workplace in the interest of health, safety, welfare or protection or management of the workplace.
  • Participate in conduct of OSH related planning and implementation in order to achieve the Hotel’s OSH objectives, targets & program.
  • Attend all training arranged by Hygiene, Health & Safety Manager such as OSH training, safety Induction, on the job training, tool box talks, etc.

ACCOUNTABILITY:
  • Held accountable and committed whatever it takes to comply with the company’s OSHMS Policies, OSHMS Procedure, & Operational Works Instruction and any other relevant legislation applies within the organization.
  • Held accountable to take care of his own health and safety, other person in the workplace that may be affected by their acts or omission at work.
  • To report to his supervisor or respective Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience: Minimum two years’ experience as a Security Supervisor for a luxury or ultra-luxury property
  • Education: High school diploma.
  • General Skills: Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
  • Techcical Skills: Ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers.
  • Language: Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to exert physical effort, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.
