Role and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and directing the installation, testing, and maintenance of

Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP)

pipelines on site. Key duties include:

Supervision:

Leading and supervising a team of pipe fitters and laborers to ensure all GRP pipeline installation work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required specifications and standards.

Planning & Execution:

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, planning the daily work schedule, and ensuring all materials and equipment are available at the worksite.

Quality Control:

Inspecting the work to ensure the quality of jointing, alignment, and installation complies with project requirements and industry best practices.

Safety:

Strictly enforcing all site safety regulations and procedures, conducting toolbox talks, and ensuring all team members use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Coordination:

Liaising with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion.

Reporting:

Maintaining accurate daily progress reports, material usage records, and manpower attendance.

Qualifications and Experience

Proven experience as a

Foreman or Supervisor

specifically in the installation of

GRP/FRP pipelines

is mandatory. Strong knowledge of various GRP pipe jointing methods (e.g., butt and wrap, mechanical joints, flange connections). Ability to read, understand, and execute work based on technical drawings and specifications. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
