Job Purpose

Implementation of DP World Group HSE strategy and standards as set by VP Operational Safety, Ports, Terminals & Marine and the VP Operational Safety, Projects & Logistics through the participation in global safety programmes / engagements ensuring compliance with the DP World's philosophy of zero harm to our people & the environment.


This will include delivery against HSE governance activities, participation in programme strategies, cultural & behavioural change, HSE Management System documentation reviews. The role will be responsible for seeking advice and coordinate with our group portfolio companies including Divisional, Regional and Operating & Entity (OE) Safety & Environment (S&E) advisors and management to exercise a greater credible GHSE influence.

Key Accountabilities

Plan and execute Group Health, Safety Assurance and Risk Management programmes in accordance with the associated Group HSE goals and targets, in the context of DP World's operations across ports & terminals and marine services and the projects and logistics. Work closely with Senior Managers and Directors of HSE in implementation of the Group HSE Plan and report on performance against it with the OE HSE Plans Coordinate with relevant stakeholders in the preparation and development of training related to HSE topics, preparing training packages and awareness materials. Provide guidance and support in the awareness of best practice throughout the organisation working with key stakeholders and coordinating with the SME's to define the same. Monitor and participate in the HSE audits and risk baseline programmes implementation. Prepare and develop reports of analyse against serious incidents to identify trends, solutions and drive continuous improvement. Develop, write and maintain a variety of reports, documents, correspondence, and records related to DP World HSE management system, risk reduction and assessment programmes, and safety initiatives. Assist in promoting and raising awareness, at all levels of the organization, the HSE strategy and zero harm philosophy. Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World's Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World's Code of Conduct and Ethics policies Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

At minimum an engineering degree with NEBOSH Diploma or safety degree. Minimum 5 years' experience in fields related to safety management systems, monitoring reporting and verification, incident investigation and risk management programmes. Passionate and knowledgeable about key trends around health, safety, environment programmes and initiatives for improved performance. Strong skillset in project management, preferably supported by relevant certification (e.g. lean six sigma belt, PMP) Comfortable in a remote and F2F training delivery environment. Strategic mindset, big picture thinker with an ability to focus on the details where needed Proven team coordination, consultation, people skills and senior management advisement Strong computer and report writing skills Sound working knowledge of ports and marine industry preferred.
