Job Description

  • Maintain total ownership and oversee the standalone and consolidation accounting books of the subsidiaries and investments. Monthly closing for management books after performing all checks, reconciliations and in compliance with all policies. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data. Oversee the month-end close process, constantly reviewing procedures while eliminating inefficiencies through gap analysis exercises. Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including cost and overhead allocations, all according to IFRS
  • Provide financial guidance and support to maintain the financial health of the Group
  • Produce advanced financial analysis to determine present and forecasted financial health of the Group
  • Involve in strategic planning by producing reports and research on the company\xe2\x80\x99s financial situation, as well as set short- and long-term financial goals
  • Apply Financial Modelling to stimulate financial scenarios and present potential scenarios and outcomes to management team
  • Collaborate with management on development and execution of funding and budgeting strategies
  • Examine financial and legal documents to verify accuracy and adherence to financial regulations and acceptable financial principles
  • Ensure the business meets all its statutory and compliance obligations, including statutory accounting and tax issues
  • Look for cost-reduction opportunities. Manage the overall cost base of the group, with particular focus on identifying opportunities for intra-group synergies across different functions that can result in meaningful improvement to the bottom line of the Group. Drive a disciplined cost culture with cost intelligence that allows the management team to tightly manage controllable costs
  • Develop relationships with external contacts such as auditors, lawyers, consultants, stakeholders, etc. Developing strong banking relationships facility negotiations with major banks
  • Collaborate and coordinate monthly reporting, budgeting, and reforecast processes.
  • Establish risk assessments and evaluation policies and processes.
  • Forecast treasury, monitoring the organization\'s liquidity Management, and forecasting the funding requirement for medium and long term. Manage cash flow planning process and ensure funds availability; bring this topic of treasury optimization in fund request meeting
  • Responsible for tax management. Follow up on Corporate Tax matters Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all tax returns and optimization of tax position
  • Establishing and implement internal control disciplines throughout the organization to maintain integrity & accuracy of reports Oversee and implement the financial control framework, policies and procedures and ensure the Company\xe2\x80\x99s Finance Department is in full compliance
  • Conducting the business transformation, change management, streamlining business functions, minimize process
  • Providing monthly/Quarterly/Annually report to Board, management, business on financial performance of business. Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls, compliance, and financial procedures
  • Lead the statutory audit. Remain current on audit best practices as well as all laws regarding Company\xe2\x80\x99s operations
  • Reinforce and drive a culture of transparency within the Company
  • Recruit, interview and hire finance, accounting, and payroll staff (if required)
  • Guide, mentor and develop the finance departments of Group companies
  • Keep track of market trends
Criteria:
  • 7 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as a Group Finance Manager within a diverse Group Holding organization and preferably with minimum 15 years of experience
  • 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as an External Auditor within a Big 4 firm is essential
  • You will be professional qualified with one of the following: CPA(US), CA, ACCA, CFA
  • Arabic is an advantage however it is not essential
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ready to work in a challenging environment with high growth, capable of handling work pressure and big teams
  • International experience is an advantage but not essential
  • Excellent transformational leadership skills
  • Results-driven
  • Strong leadership for leading and mentoring cross-functional teams by applying pro-active leadership approaches to meet organizational bottom-line objectives
  • Must currently reside in the UAE and be prepared to relocate to RAK
