As a Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting activities within our company. You will manage financial records, prepare and analyze financial statements, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. You will work closely with other departments to develop and implement financial policies and procedures that support our business goals. What You\'ll Do:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger accounts, accounts receivable and payable, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations like the IFRS
- Manage cash flow and forecasting, including the preparation of budgets and financial projections.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures that support our business goals.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis.
- Oversee the preparation of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.
- Manage relationships with internal auditors, external auditors and tax authorities.
- Provide financial advice and support to management and other departments as needed.
- Take ownership of the accounts function and manage all its team members
- Take responsibility for front-end accounting and finance configurations within our ERP (Odoo)
- A qualified accountant with a bachelor\'s degree in accounting or finance, or a related field.
- At least 8-10 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the FMCG distribution industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulations like the IFRS.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with other departments and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound financial decisions.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- A team player who is committed to achieving business goals and contributing to the success of the company.
- Well versed in ERPs
- Odoo experience is a plus.
