Job Description

TASK DESCRIPTION: The incumbent of this task assists in supporting the GSE assigned to the KAF.

TASK REQUIREMENTS:

Review technical publications and directives and prepares or assists in the preparation of required maintenance instructions.

Monitor the CDI/CDQAR program and review personal qualifications of nominees for CDI and CDQAR designation.

Investigate hazard reports, and assist in the preparation of various problem related reports.

Assist production personnel and conduct final inspections where required.

Perform periodic inspections of I-Level work centers and maintenance programs to ensure compliance with the KAMP and other applicable instructions or directives.

Analyze information from accumulated Maintenance Data in developing discrepancy trends to identify failure areas and other maintenance problems. Review source documents and periodic inspection records, and note recurring discrepancies requiring special action. Review all Engineering Investigation requests, QDRs, TPDRs, Aircraft Discrepancy Reports, Hazardous Material Reports, Explosive Mishap Reports, and Conventional Ordnance Discrepancy Reports ensuring they are accurate, clear, and concise prior to mailing. Familiar with the use of common and peculiar support equipment. Support OJT and cross-training of KAF personnel.

MINIMUM PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of four (4) years experience in a GSE maintenance and repair.

Minimum of two (2) years experience as a GSE QA Representative.

Proficient in the use of all GSE-related tools, support equipment and publications, and capable of performing all functions required of an I-Level GSE Technician.

Familiar with field arresting cable and barrier maintenance, repair, and adjustment.

Thoroughly familiar with the COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 Series programs and its associated requirements.

Must be computer literate and familiar with commercial word processing programs.
