Overview
We are seeking an experienced Ground Safety Officer to join our safety team. This role is focused on maintaining and improving safety standards across maintenance and operational areas. The ideal candidate will have practical maintenance safety knowledge, strong investigative skills, and proven experience identifying hazards and implementing corrective measures in aviation environments. Only UAE Nationals will be considered for this vacancy.
Requirements

• Associate's degree (or equivalent) in Aircraft Maintenance, Aviation Safety, or a related field.
• Formal certifications in Aviation Safety, Safety Management Systems (SMS), and Risk Management.
• Additional training or certifications in Human Factors, Hazard Identification & Assessment, Hazardous Materials handling, Accident/Incident Investigation, Root Cause Analysis, Human & Organizational Performance, and Occupational Safety & Health are highly desirable.

Experience & Skills

• 4-7 years' hands-on experience in aviation safety or maintenance-safety roles.
• Practical familiarity with aircraft maintenance activities and workshops (avionics, structures, paint, etc.).
• Experience conducting incident, mishap, accident or near-miss investigations and driving corrective actions.
• Proven ability to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement mitigation measures in aviation settings.
• Prior service in primary safety roles within a military organization (2-4 years) is an advantage.
• Strong report-writing, communication, and stakeholder-engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine safety inspections and hazard assessments across maintenance and ground operations.
• Lead or support investigations into incidents, near-misses and accidents; perform root cause analyses and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records, prepare investigation and audit reports, and ensure follow-through on corrective actions.
• Provide safety briefings and training to maintenance and operational teams; promote safety culture and best practices.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory and internal safety standards; support implementation of SMS processes.
• Liaise with maintenance supervisors, engineering teams, and senior safety management to resolve safety issues and improve procedures.

• Candidates must be currently based in the UAE and eligible to work as UAE Nationals.
• Strong practical experience and demonstrable certifications will be prioritized.
