As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services to our clients. This role requires strong animal handling skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service abilities.

Duties

Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling pets according to breed standards and client preferences. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs and grooming options. Handle animals safely and compassionately during grooming sessions, ensuring their comfort throughout the process. Assist with any necessary animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both the pet and the groomer. Keep accurate records of grooming services performed on each pet, including any special instructions or observations for future visits.

Skills

Proficiency in pet grooming techniques for various breeds. Strong dog handling skills with experience in animal care and restraint. Background in veterinary assistance or technician roles is highly desirable. Experience with equine care is a plus. Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with clients. Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or equipment. Knowledge of pet care practices including feeding, bathing, and general maintenance of pet hygiene. Previous kennel experience is beneficial for understanding animal behavior in a professional setting.
