Duties and Responsibilities
Include:
• Receive payment by cash, credit cards, and cheques.
Regularly check the reservation book for next guest reservations
• Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas.
• Following the company SOP on finalizing a bill and following the correct procedure.
• Calculate total payments received during a time period, and reconcile this with total sales.
• Compute and record totals of transactions.
• Issue receipts, or change due to customers.
• Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
• Welcome customers entering the establishments.
• Ensure that everything guests will be needing is in order and clean, and all station set up is full before service.
• Answering the phone in a professional manner and taking guest bookings, in an accurate way obtaining all information.
• Welcoming all guests that enter the venue, and inform them of all offerings and manage their expectations.
• Inform the Duty manager of the reservations, including any special requirements.
• Ensure the seating plan is ready for the shifts, and the table layouts are in the correct formation.
